On the morning of March 20th, the 10th Home School Rostrum activity was successfully held in the Lecture Hall of the east campus. The keynote speaker was Principal Assistant Hu Qilin and the forum was presided over by Vice Principal Liu Bing and attended by Anqing Foreign Language School's President Madam Huang Wenli and nearly 600 parents from the east and west campuses.
Anqing Foreign Language School has always attached great importance to the close cooperation between family education and school education, and paid close attention to the construction of parents' school. What’s more, Anqing Foreign Language School guides parents to set up the correct concept of parenting through the home-school forum activities, helps parents to learn and master the scientific family education knowledge and effective education methods, and creates a good atmosphere of family education for the healthy growth of students. Principal Assistant Hu Qilin focused on the theme of ‘Effective Communication and Growing Together’, and proceeded in-depth exchange and sharing in terms of 'difficulties in family education', ‘how to communicate effectively with children’, ‘how to treat children with a normal heart’ as well as ‘Self-growth of parents is the best education for children.’ Furthermore, Principal Assistant Hu Qilin's lecture not only summarized the common problems, but also analyzed various phenomena, and gave parents specific method guidance, which enlightened and benefited the parents a lot.
Last but not the least, President Madam Huang Wenli also shared her school philosophy and family education experience with parents. Madam President expressed that the school should not be a machine to cultivate learning. Grades are important, however, pursuing grades without paying attention to children's physical and mental health is not conducive to their long-term development. Therefore, both the school and the parents should take the physical and mental health of the students as the premise, and on this basis, we will constantly promote the students to be positive and strive to make progress.
